He was often on the front line in battle and though he was loyal to the Jedi commanders, the men under his command came first. He often served alongside Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. When people think of clone troopers, Captain Rex often comes to mind first. To honor their service, let’s look back at some of the clone troopers we got to know in The Clone Wars. They were brave and selfless, especially so when you consider they didn’t really have a choice about heading into battle. But before Sheev Palpatine’s Order 66 programming kicked in, the clone troopers stood by the Jedi and became their friends. A kind of strength the Separatists couldn’t duplicate with their metal soldiers.Īfter Order 66, the clones perished and were eventually replaced by stormtroopers that the Empire recruited from around the galaxy. The clones all possessed the same genetic coding, but each one was unique. The clones didn’t make up a mindless force like the Separatist’s battle droids though.
We met the clones who were grown and developed through an accelerated aging process on Kamino in Attack of the Clones and saw them go to battle with the Jedi.
His second item is a Health and Ammo Dispenser, allowing him to supply and heal his nearby squad mates, or himself, by tossing out a Health/Ammo pick-up.Star Wars: The Clone Wars breathed life into the Grand Army of the Republic. With these, he is able to make quick work of enemy vehicles, as well as set effective traps. He is equipped with DP-1 Detpacks, high-damage, remote-detonated explosive devices. In place of a secondary, he carries an F-187 Fusion Cutter, able to repair vehicles, Health and Ammo Droids, and turrets, and, in addition, slice into vehicles, removing any enemies that may be occupying it. However, with lack of a secondary weapon, he is somewhat useless at longer ranges. The weapon does lethal damage at close range, able to dispose of most units in a single, well placed shot. The Clone Engineer carries a DP-23 Shotgun, useful in tight spaces. This unit is equivalent to the Engineer Droid, Rebel Smuggler, and the Imperial Engineer. The Clone Engineer is a necessity on the battlefield, valuable in tight, enclosed battle conditions as vehicle-heavy warfare. The Clone Engineer (or Clone Pilot in Star Wars Battlefront I) is the technician and medical unit for the Galactic Republic.
