I've tried overriding application settings and forcing heavy AA using my Radeon Catalyst drivers, but it doesn't seem to do anything at all.
I'm sure side-by-side screenshots would show some minuscule difference, but in my experience with games and AA, the quality improvement should definitely be noticeable. I turned AA off and didn't even really notice a drop in quality. I've tried all the AA settings and they all have negligible differences to one another. It's quite surreal because the aliasing is REALLY obvious and heavily detracts from otherwise fantastic graphics, yet for some reason they won't even acknowledge it's a problem and they insist it works fine, posting 5 near-identical screenshots as testament, and insisting the AA in ED is no worse than in other titles. There a really interesting thread on the FD forums where everyone is complaining that the anti-aliasing seems to be malfunctioning, and the moderators and even the FD graphics programmer seem to be blind to the issue.
